Here is an example of an installation using a CAT5e structured cabling network including patch panel, comms cabinet, network switch and router.
Setup of server hardware implementing Small Business Server 2003, Active Directory and Exchange mail system. Security applied to network shares to prvent unauthorised access to confidential documents. Network printing, backup solution and user training were also included.
Here we had to install structured cabling and move the file server as part of an office re-fit. A secure server cage was installed bolted to the floor to prevent theft. Broadband services, network switch and VoIP phones were relocated and setup in the new server area.
A new firewall was implemented to allow user access to the server from remote locations and for support purposes.
