What content will I need to prepare?

To enable us to design and build your web site we need input from you. During the first consultation we will listen to your requirements and advise you of the number of pages and the structure of the site. Once agreed we then need to gather all the content for these pages. We require the text content and any images (digital or photo) that are to be shown on the site.

We will endeavour to complete the first stage of the design and completion based on the agreed timescale or live date. We can only achieve this if we have been supplied the content for the site

How long does it take to build a site?

From the first consultation we will agree on a timescale for completeion of your website, this is dependent on the content supplied by you. We will endeavour to keep within the agreed time period where possible. The site can be monitored by means of a secure login to the site so that you review the progress.

What support services are available?

Caspian blue can offer Infrastructure, desktop and severs support either on an Ad-hoc basis or a yearly support contract. Each contract is tailored to best suite your business.

What backup strategy should I adopt?

Having a comprehensive backup stratergy is probably the most important part of any businesses IT infrastructure. The more frequent and complete backups taken will ensure that in that awful situation where a document or file has been deleted, lost, overwriten or become corrupt you have another recent copy either on tape or disk.We recommend that a minimum of 5 backup cycles of backup should be in place (taken daily Mon - Fri) to ensure that there is a week worth of data. The more cycles of backup increases the chance of retrieving lost or damaged data from an earlier date. These backups should be checked for sucessful completion daily and run test restores to prove the integrity of the backups at regular intervals.

We currently use as our preferred backup software solution for the small to medium businesses. Alternatives are Windows Backup for the home user.

Backup stratergies do not need to be expensive.... but it can be expensive if you do not have a regular backup routine!
